    There have been several sightings of Lula Mae over the summer but with no real confirmation of her whereabouts.  UNTIL NOW!!!  She has been found and she shall be back in Lake Havasu soon. 

    If she is a good girl.

    Lula Mae has inspired our Havasu Stitchers Christmas Party Theme. So put on your holiday character garb and join us for a fun time at Havasu Stitchers Annual Christmas Celebration. This year it will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    We will meet at the Lake Havasu Senior Center. Our meal will be catered by Niko's Grill and Pub (chicken and beef skewers with Mediterranean lemon butter rice, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, Greek salad and baklava for dessert).  Coffee, iced tea, lemonade, and spiced hot cider will be available.

    There will be games and raffles and all kinds of fun things to enjoy! Instead of a gift exchange, we are planning a gift surprise for all attendees.  It is brought to you by Terrie Eller and her merry band of elves!  

    Please pay online and get yourself on the attendance list.  Don't miss out on this holiday event!

    Announcing the Seat Belt Market Tote!

    Sarah and Diana will help you create this a customized bag made of seat belt webbing.  Seat belt webbing is shimmery and luxurious, yet extremely durable  and easy to clean and sew! The tote features 2 exterior slip pockets and a flap accent with metal ring. On the interior you will find a zipped pocket and zipped gusset closure. The handles are 23″ long with a 11″ drop. Instructions are included for 3 different size options.

      Tool Time Academy Classes are back for 2024!  

      Kim Pebley of Havasu Quilts and her talented assistants will continue to bring new Cut Loose patterns, tools, tips, and techniques to you.  These demonstrations will be taught before our general meetings each month at 5:15 in the room directly behind the meeting room at the Senior Center.  We will be dark (no meeting) for July, August, and December 2024.

      The cost will be $5 for each class.  If you pay for all 9 classes before February 7, 2024 -- a total of $45 -- you will receive a $5 gift certificate from Havasu Quilts.  If you can't attend a session, you will still receive your pattern.  We will be trying out new products throughout the year, including some samples for you to try out.  Several months have extras and bonuses.

      You can order the monthly tools at the meeting with Havasu Quilts (or in their shop), BUT you must pay for half of your order before it is ordered.  

      Cut Loose Press Pattern for this month is the Tissue Tote.  We will discuss use of stabilizers and retreat fun.

      All members are welcome!

      Each session is $6.  Registrations will be individual for each month.

      Tool Time Academy Classes are back for 2024!  

      Kim Pebley of Havasu Quilts and her talented assistants will continue to bring new Cut Loose patterns, tools, tips, and techniques to you.  These demonstrations will be taught before our general meetings each month at 5:15 in the room directly behind the meeting room at the Senior Center.  We will be dark (no meeting) for July, August, and December 2024.

      If you can't attend a session, you will still receive your pattern.  We will be trying out new products throughout the year, including some samples for you to try out.  Several months have extras and bonuses.

      You can order the monthly tools at the meeting with Havasu Quilts (or in their shop), BUT you must pay for half of your order before it is ordered.  

      Cut Loose Press Pattern for this month is the stunning Haystacks Quilt, a paper piecing project.  Our tool is the Add a Quarter Ruler.

      Join our guild as we get together and learn about guild events and socialize with each other. Guests are welcome! There is a charge of $5 for guests. 

      We will have Show and Tell after the break, so bring your quilts.

      Our meeting will be held at the Lake Havasu Senior Center, 450 Acoma Blvd S.  Park in the back or side. Entrance to the dining room is at the back.

    • Community Outreach Sew-In

      Join the Community Outreach sewers at Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center on this SPECIAL SEWING DAY being held in the gym.

      Please RSVP so we know how many people are coming.  We want to make sure to have enough tables for everyone that volunteers.

      You can help by cutting fabric for projects, sewing projects and items, and sorting through the fabrics (that's the fun part!).  We would love to see you there!

      We are continuing to make quilts and other items for our Spring and Winter distributions.  Remember, this is our main project that gives us our non-profit status. The local homes we deliver to need more lap quilts, fidget quilts, bibs, and shawls.

      Setup is at 8:30 am, sewing begins at 9:00.  We will have pizza and salad delivered for LUNCH about noon for our hard-working volunteers.  

      NO CHARGE to our sewing volunteers for our lunch. Clean up at 4:00 p.m.

      AQG and Havasu Stitchers are now requesting that all membership renewals be done online.  This makes your renewals automatically updated within the websites immediately, rather than waiting for someone to retrieve the mail and enter payment data in the computer systems.
